Hey adventurers! Today, I’m thrilled to share with you the breathtaking love story of Solana and Zach, two souls who found their way back to each other amidst the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains. As a passionate adventure wedding and elopement wedding videographer, getting to witness and document their union was an absolute dream come true.

A Mountainous Love Story Begins

It all began with games and a passing crush during the 2008 Arctic Winter Games in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Solana and Zach, both passionate athletes, caught each other’s attention amidst the thrill of competition and the camaraderie of sport. Despite living in different corners of the continent, their connection persisted through the years, nurtured by late-night chats and shared adventures in the making.

From Long-Distance Love to Lasting Partnership

Fast forward eight years later, and fate intervened with an Instagram notification that reignited their spark. What followed was a whirlwind of transatlantic phone calls, Facetime chats, and an old-fashioned journal exchanged across the ocean. Their first date? An epic road trip through Switzerland, setting the tone for their adventurous journey together.

The Proposal: A Mountaintop Moment

As if plucked from a romance novel, Zach’s proposal atop Paget Peak was nothing short of magical. With the majestic Rockies as their witness, he dropped to one knee, sealing their love amidst breathtaking vistas and the promise of a lifetime of adventure. Now I wasn’t there personally, but I could just imagine how what an special and epic moment this was for them.

A Wedding Amongst the Peaks

Their wedding day was a celebration of love, family, and the beauty of the mountains. Lone Pine Lawn at Mount Norquay Ski Resort provided the perfect backdrop for their union, surrounded by towering peaks and the embrace of nature. With close family and friends by their side, Solana and Zach exchanged heartfelt vows, their love echoing through the crisp mountain air.
